Dupont Delrin is the best plastic for turning on a machine lathe. It’s very easy to turn, but it does require slower speeds. I have used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally durable and easily machinable, and they have similar physical properties. They appear the same, but for practical uses there are some differences that may make one better than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
